Next to a restaurant in Venezuela, Pokiddo has created a surprise in a narrow 50㎡ space – this area with a net height of 7.38 meters has been transformed into a children's playground centered on rock climbing. The main red and black colors collide with cool light strips, allowing the bar-shaped rotating climbing wall, double-sided artistic climbing wall, and 3-4 light strip stone-breaking climbing routes to extend in the vertical dimension. It not only satisfies children's athletic nature but also becomes an eye-catching "vertical amusement landmark" next to the restaurant.
Three Climbing Forms, Unlocking the Three-Dimensional Fun of 50㎡
Designers have made full use of the 7.38-meter height advantage, dividing the functional area into vertical layers to make every inch of space full of challenges:
1. Bar-shaped Rotating Climbing Wall:
A 3-meter-high rotating cylinder is set in the center of the site, with red rock points distributed on the black cylinder surface, creating dynamic difficulty as it rotates. The outer side of the cylinder is surrounded by a black protective net, and the bottom is connected to an all-black floor mat, ensuring safety while enhancing the visual impact.
2. Double-sided Artistic Climbing Wall:
A 4-meter-high climbing area is built along both walls. Red lines outline geometric art patterns on the black rock walls, and the rock points are graded by difficulty (suitable for 4-12 years old). Light strips are hidden at the edges of the rock walls. When lit at night, the red rock points and black walls form a strong contrast in light and shadow, like a three-dimensional art installation.
Red and Black Aesthetics + Safety Design, Great Experience in a Small Space
The client's favorite red and black color scheme is balanced through proportion control: black accounts for 60% (floor mats, rock wall bases, protective nets), laying a cool tone; red is dotted in the form of rock points, lines, and light strips (accounting for 40%), avoiding visual depression. The all-black floor mat is made of 5cm thick high-density sponge, with red anti-collision strips wrapped around the edges, which not only echoes the theme but also improves the buffering effect.
Guests in the restaurant can directly see the lively figures of children on the rock walls through the floor-to-ceiling windows – rock climbing is no longer a distant sport but an accessible parent-child interaction scene. A parent laughed and said: "The child is climbing and sweating a lot, and we can take care of him while drinking coffee in the restaurant. This combination is so considerate!"
